While CM of different states want to talk to him to find a solution to corona crisis, he is busy doing the super spreader events or photo-ops. Is this the role of PM?
The parliament should debate the role of PM and draw a clear guideline on how much time he can spend on poll campaigns, especially when lacs of people are suffering and dying. Modi had every right to campaign, if he had set up the infrastructure to deal with COVID crisis. He collected thousands of crores in PM CARES fund, what happened to that. He promised hundreds of oxygen plants, how many have been set up?
While the PM is immune to judicial enquiry, the privilege committee of parliament should debate and fix responsibility for this crisis. We had one year to prepare, and nothing has been done.
The rallies in poll bound West Bengal have disregarded COVID protocols openly. When the head of the government defies his own edict, how can one expect COVID appropriate behaviour from the ordinary masses who may view the leaders as role models, why no action has been taken against poll managers?
Lastly, Why PM Modi is not showing the same passion to win the war against coronavirus as shown by him to win elections. The Prime Minister woke up very late in appealing to the pilgrims at Kumbh to go back and that Kumbh should be symbolic now. The damage has already been done.
